Imari ware was produced in Arita, Saga Prefecture, and became highly valued for its refined beauty and craftsmanship. Among its many designs, arabesque motifs were especially popular and widely produced from the mid Edo period. It is also said that Dutch Delftware ceramics were influenced by these Ko Imari
