These rugs are deeply connected to the nomadic customs of the Ync people. The first documented Turkish kilim can be traced back to Neolithic pottery from atalhyk, dating back to 7000 BC. Originally used as blankets, saddle blankets, seat mats, or wall decorations, kilims with varied purposes, such as this one, were often created with
