This mega wave doesn't know which way to turn as it smashes onto the rocks at Snapper Rocks Coolangatta

I literally went chasing rainbows at Coolangatta

But my luck continued as an enormous backwash wave formed up right in front of the rainbow

After years of deterioration through it was deemed too dangerous to beachgoers and was finally removed in 2015

The wave was an absolute powerhouse and it seemed to take on a beastly form as it rose up and rolled over on itself
