The buds are nearly black before they open

but this big plant definitely needs to be staked up so she doesn't fall over from the weight of her blooms

They have a really pretty thicker quality to them

Clearview Lila I can't believe I didn'tPretty lavender Variety in a softer stellar form dahlia. I originally got this one as a namesake for a friend who's mothers' name was Lila. She struggled the first year I grew her but absolutely outdid herself last year! 6" blooms on 4 5' plants. She is typically a softer lavender color than she was the day I took this picture, but in cooler weather she can be more color saturated.
